How Dougie Showed Up

That question sent us down an early ChatGPT rabbit hole — experimenting with prompts, personalities, and characters, trying to bring “Doug” to life as different anthropomorphic animals.

We tested a lot of options.

Most were… fine.

Then we tried a duck.

And for reasons — it just worked.

Dougie showed up fully formed:

• Confident
• Relaxed
• Slightly reckless
• Always wearing sunglasses
• Completely calm while everything around him is very much not calm

So naturally, we started putting him in dangerous situations.
As one does.

Camping trips gone wrong.
Wildlife encounters.
Questionable shortcuts.
Bad decisions.

And somehow — every time — Dougie made it through.

That’s when the legend started to grow.
